[attr="class","ras_tag"]Ahmar Areej
[attr="class","ras_post"]"Ah, sort of..." While the assumed finish to what he had to say was along the lines of what he had been taught, it was not what he was going to say. "... We are taught that humans would kill or sell us if they found us. I think there's some history beyond the stories meant to scare the young, but I was never allowed such lessons." He trailed off, chewing on the inside of his cheek once more as he focused his eyes on the fountain's spout. He was probably safe in other worlds, places where he did not have his tail. To everyone else, he could pass off as a human with very limited education.
Rasmus stilled, not because of the affirmation of Ahmar being human, but because of the wink. As soon as he caught sight of it, he averted his gaze, once more, to the fountain. A pale hand reached up to rub at the back of his neck as he tried to decide if the slight heat rising from his neck was from embarrassment or fluster. It wasn't like he knew what a 'good' or 'bad' human looked like, so he honestly could not tell. He decided to keep that to himself. Then there was the connection he was unable to make by himself between the description of Agrabah and a 'desert'. That only fueled the embarrassment.
"That's so little water, though," he frowned at the thought. He supposed the idea of being somewhere with little to no water was too far-fetched for someone from the sea. Water was all he had ever known. His eyes turned down to the slightly distorted image of his feet underneath the water. Not even these fountains held enough water, in his opinion. Blue eyes turned up to the man once more as his skin color was brought up. Curiosity sparked once more, he turned and leaned forward to inspect his skin. "Huh, you're right. So, the sun does this..." A slight frowned turned down the corners of his lips, and his brows knitted together with contemplation. He held up his own arm as he leaned back, turning it over to observe his skin color.
"Does that mean I might change color now, too? I've met someone who could do it at will, though they were an octopus."
He paused once more as that look of thought increased. He lifted one hand to tap his index finger against his lips. "I hadn't thought of that..." He grumbled. "Maybe whatever magic gave me legs... would give you a tail? It would definitely keep King Triton from smiting you to protect the palace..." As much as he wanted to go home, he did not want to put those who have shown him kindness (and humored all his questions) in harm's way.
That bright smile returned to his lips as his hand fell away. "As much as I hate the idea of a place with so little water, I would love to see these 'pyramid' things. Do you have creatures of the land and sky there, too? Can they talk? Ours talk. Well, most of them."
